At Bubboli, we are strong believers that free play, where kids are only bound by the limits of their own imagination and creativity, is the most beneficial way for kids to learn. That is why we love these building toys. They don’t require instructions and are great ways for your bubbies to explore. The simplest things in life are often the best!
Oh, and what's better is that all of the following are AWARD WINNERS from various institutions.
ZOOB 250 Piece Set (4 - 8 years) - ZOOB is made up of 5 different pieces inspired by the nucleotides (the basic structural units of nucleic acids) that make up DNA. These pieces snap, click, slide and pop together to form mobile structures that can be moved and played with. Based on the way things connect, move and transform in nature, ZOOB captures dynamic movement, unlike traditional “stacking” or “hub & spoke” construction sets. ZOOB comes with instructions on how to build certain structures, but we think the best way to play is to just dig in and start snapping pieces together.
Dado Squares (3-7 years old) - Dado Squares are simple. They are two-dimensional squares that interlock with each other to create three-dimensional masterpieces. The amazing thing about the Dado Squares is that with each piece your child interlocks their imagination and spatial reasoning adjusts and realizes what is necessary to make the structure work. Dado squares are made from heavy-duty plastic in the U.S. Because they are flat, storing them is simple and doesn’t require a lot of space. We are also huge fans of the Dado Planks.
Tegu Blocks (2-8 years old) - We consider Tegu the classic, versatile wooden blocks with a modern twist - embedded magnets. Tegu blocks are created with beautiful Honduran hardwoods and safe water-based finishes. We consider these blocks as heirloom products that you can pass down from one generation to another.
Magna Tiles (2-8 years old) - The edges of each piece is magnetic and adheres to adjacent pieces. It comes in varying shapes, sizes and transparent colors. Magna Tiles provide creative stimulus and right-side brain training through simple and fun construction while teaching math and spatial relationships through creative building. They are a valuable manipulative for spatial problem-solving tasks, logical thinking and math reasoning.
Geomags (5-9+ years old) - Magnetic rods and nonmagnetic spheres combine to create unlimited number of geometric shapes and structures. These hone in skills about problem solving, mathematics, physics, engineering, and so much more. Geomags are also developed, created and produced entirely in Switzerland. Geomags also makes sets with panels so what you are building is more obvious to the naked eye. Personally, we prefer without the panels and it encourages kids to learn to visualize more with fewer resources. We find this is better made than competitors.
Happy building, and please send us the amazing structures your bubbie built, we love to see them!
