If your toddler can walk, a STRIDER will get your toddler cruising over dirt, grass, and pavement with ease. Designed to be steady, stable, and safe, the STRIDER ST-3 bike is perfect for children from 18 months to 5 years old.
The STRIDER bike teaches your child balance and coordination, developing glittering confidence. Trikes and bikes with training wheels simply can’t do this. Traditional bicycles place too much focus on learning to pedal - skimping on developing your child’s motor skills.
With NO pedals and NO training wheels, your toddler powers the STRIDER bikes using their feet safely on the ground; allowing them to learn to balance a bike at their own pace.
When it comes to toddlers, weight and fit are critical! Because the STRIDER weighs less than 7 lbs it is easy to control, and quick releases on the handlebars and seat make it a snap to adjust for a growing child.
Awarded the National Parenting Publications Award Gold Winner 2012.
We love no-balance bikes because they teach your child how to ride a bike without the reliance of training wheels. You will be amazed at how quickly your child will learn to steer the wheel, balance himself, and basically ride a bike.
We love the STRIDER brand over the others because they are constantly innovating and improving their product. The new ST3 model has smaller handlebars consistent with the size of the toddlers' hands. It also has a slimmer seat, which is more snug and comfortable for toddlers' bums. And of course, their puncture proof, never flat, ultralight EVA Polymer tire.
And of course, we love how light the bike is weighing 6.4 lbs. Trust us, it makes a huge difference when you are carrying it home from the park because your kid is too tired to ride it back.
The seat is also adjustable from 11-16".
And let's not forget the STRIDER World Championship Competitions. Don't know about them? YouTube it. It's amazing what some kids can do with just a bike.
NOTE: If your child is 3 1/2 years old or older, we recommend purchasing the Extra Long Seat post in addition to the standard seat post included with the STRIDER.
The STRIDER does not come with brakes, but are available for purchase as an add-on.
A new STRIDER ST-4 was recently released. Upgrades include sealed cartridge bearings, new tire tread, softer durometer for better grip, new paint, and other minor changes. The price is $109, but we so not think the price increase is warranted.
